Notes: Prior to a race in Barrett Junction, Chris Chaput, Brent DeKeyser and I built several copies of my Gumball Machine. Chris provided the wood and Brent's labor (Brent was working for ABEC 11 at the time). We made 3 or 4 of them. Chris also made note of the measurements as I interpreted them from my working prototype. The race was a great success. It was John's Fryer's first time racing at Barrett, the Gumball Machine's first test there, and John's first ride on a borrowed Gumball Machine. John took Gold against the previous undefeated Rogers' Team. Chaput later put the measurements into his CAD program, providing drawings so people on the internet could more easily copy the Gumball Machine design.
